1961 - EDMONTON OIL CAPITAL KIWANIS CLUB BECAME A CHARTERED CLUB WITH KIWANIS INTERNATIONAL

The Edmonton Oil Capital Kiwanis Club provide funds to schools and organizations within in our community and around the globe.

Some of the organizations we support are: YESS, Camp He Ho Ha, Free Play for Kids, Camrose Boys and Girls Club, Veterans Food Bank, Edmonton Food Bank and the Christmas Bureau. 

In addition to financial support we support organizations by completing service projects. 

Recently we delivered 150 books to a local elementary school.

Since 1976 the Oil Capital Kiwanis Club has presented the Top Cop award to a member of the Edmonton Police Service for the volunteer work they do in the community.

The Community Leader Award is presented to a volunteer in the Capital Region who's work has a substantial impact on the community. 

Each year the Edmonton Oil Capital Club presents graduating high school students in the Edmonton and surrounding communities, who are continuing their education  with the Laurie Billings Scholarship.
